Nothing Too Exciting...

Well, here we are. A few short days from Christmas. I've been crazy busy with running around and haven't had a ton of time to come here and post anything for you all.

Where do I begin? As I said, everything has been so crazy lately. I got a new car. Well, new to me. It's a 200 Kia Sephia and to be honest, it's a piece of CRAP! It was purchased on Wednesday, and since then I have discovered that the check engine light stays on, there are no headlights, the steering column is twelve different kinds of screwed up and the brakes are going to need to be replaced sooner than later. Grrrr! I hate buying used cars.

I finished shopping for the Princesses. That was no easy task. But I got Princess One 2 things she asked for (only two because at the tender age of 11, she wants NOTHING under 100 dollars.) and a few things she should like even if they did cost 5 dollars or less. Princess Two is going to be soooo excited. I got her everything Tinkerbell. Her newest favorite character.

Now, if I could just get the shopping done for everyone else on my list...

And the Wrapping... My God, the wrapping! Why don't the toy companies understand what a hassle it is for us parents to try and wrap all these oddly shaped packages each year? What ever happened to nice, square or rectangular packages for toys?? I mean, at my house I have to wrap these crazy boxes at least 4 times a year, not counting if the girls are invited to birthday parties and I have to wrap gifts for someone else's kids. Not that I would mind... I'm just thinking that it would be much easier if the toy companies would make the packages in nice right angles.
Did the CEO's of the toy companies get together with the CEO's from the wrapping paper companies and devise this evil plan?? Make the toy boxes for all the most popular toys so large and oddly shaped that the wrapper is forced to waste nearly a roll of wrapping paper trying to figure out the best way to cover the entire package and still look neat and tidy. That way everyone is making money except the parents.
Grrrr!
I bought Princess One AND Two a Baby Alive Whoopsie Doo Doll. (Yes, they both asked for the same thing... )
Anyways, with a great deal off effort and argument on my part, I wrapped Princess Two's Whoopsie Doo Doll. By the time I got to Princess One's doll... I got so agitated with the wrapping paper, scissors, and doll package that I actually used the scissors to REMOVE the doll from it's packaging and wrapped it and all it's accessories with no box. Much easier! Looks a little rough, but who cares. She didn't want the packaging... nor does she want to save the wrapping paper. She wants the doll, I want it to be a surprise... Problem solved! :P

I've been so busy with everything that I haven't even been able to do any of the usual Christmas baking I do each year. I'm hoping that with Princess One off school for the next two weeks that I will be able to get some of it done. I know she like to "help" with the baking. That will give her something to do over the break... instead of just moping around the house chanting her all-time favorite mantra: "I'm bored".

The only other thing of interest in my life right now is the slue of emails I'm getting off of my singles sites. I think the holidays make everyone feel like they need someone right now. In the past two weeks I have received emails from over 20 different men.
Maybe I'll make my next blog about that....

:P

This Blog is Rated 'R' for language and subject matter

The only thing I can say at this point is "WTF"!!!!
Why do I attract lunatics?
For those of you who don't know, my ex has been "stalking" my myspace page and had I not changed my number AND moved... would probably be a real pain in my ass.
It has been brought to my attention recently that his myspace statuses have become a bit of a shrine to me. -.- Ugh.

So, I popped over to looney toons' page to see what was up.
OMG! My jaw hit the floor and I was astounded that nearly two months after the final breakup, he's still obsessed. And I am not exaggerating.

You can actually visit his page and see all the craziness...
www.myspace.com/politics_sex

So I decided to write this blog to clear up a few things. First, I'd like to say, I NEVER gave that man any indication that he had even the slightest of chances in getting back together with me. Quite the opposite really.
After a good month of being away from him completely, I received an email that led me to believe he was accepting the breakup. He wanted to talk to me. So I called him. Of course, I blocked my number... I'm not stupid.

We had a pretty decent conversation. I told him that I missed certain elements of my time with him, but that I didn't miss all the crap that came along with it. I told him that I still loved him, but was not IN love with him. That I could never and would never be. I told him that we could never be together again. There had been too much damage done.

In the past week I have received SEVERAL messages from him via email and google chat...
The last one I responded to was the first of many....
He IMed me because he was pissed off that I had an account on PlentyOfFish.com. For those of you who don't know... It's a singles site.
He was livid.... I know this because of his constant use of ALL CAPITAL letters and extreme over-use of the word fuck, followed by several exclamation points!!!! :P

Well, I told him to stop it. He was driving me insane! What business was it of his if I DID have an account on POF?? NONE!!!
I told him never to speak to me again. Never to message me, email me, etc.
I made it very clear. I thought.

So every day since I have received either an email, an IM, or (God help us...) both.
In these messages he proclaims his love for me and tells me how he's so angry that I betrayed him with this POF account... Blah. Blah. Blah.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not a complete bitch. I did feel for him. Honest. I felt horrible that he was in such awful shape over me. No one should be so attached to one individual and whether or not that person wants to be with them. You have to understand, when we first broke up... I needed to be VERY clear with him that it was over. I wanted no room left for interpretation... So for the first week, I stayed away.
Then... I heard what horrible shape he was in from some mutual friends. That he wasn't eating or sleeping. Ugh. So, I agreed to see him briefly. My bad. That started such a wave of insanity that it blew my mind. WOW! He took that one meeting and ran with it... so did his mother. She called me several times that night, screaming and cursing and threatening me. That's when I decided it was prudent that I change my phone number and just disappear from his life all together.
Now, during this time, I have kept in contact with a couple of his friends. Asking how he's doing... And sometimes receiving unsolicited reports. I asked his friends to watch out for him... try to help him deal with whatever he needed to deal with... And I left it alone.
Well, now I see he's lost it. He's in la-la land... And what's worse? I look like the bitch in all of this.
I didn't air our dirty laundry on the internet when we broke up... I mean, HELLO! There's a REASON I broke up with him. Many reasons to be more accurate. And I refuse to take that path here as well. I will not share the gory details of our breakup. It's not necessary. Sufice it to say, the relationship had become a relation-shit. (to quote my fave comedian, Dane Cook)

At any rate, now people are starting to talk shit about me. And you all know how the internet thing goes... It doesn't take long for what used to be very private to become very public. And normally... I wouldn't care. I would just let it go. But seriously, how long and how far should I allow this to go on??? Wouldn't you be a little pissed off too??
*Sigh*

Well, I just wanted to get some of this off my chest...

I hope I gave some kind of clarity to the situation.

Spoiled Breakfast

So, I got up early yesterday morning to take Princess One to breakfast with Santa. I realized, God help me, that my child is ungrateful and rude. When did this happen? When did my sweet little Princess turn into the Grinch?

We were invited to go to Red Lobster for this breakfast. The employees there donate their time to this breakfast. They donate their own money (and servers aren't exactly making tons of money these days) to buy presents for the children who attended this special breakfast. They all spent their Saturday morning cooking for us, serving us, and handing out gifts for free. Imagine the kind of heart that takes.
NOW... imagine my little "darling", who used to be such a sweet girl, walking in there like Veruca Salt! Ok, it wasn't THAT bad, but... I seriously had the oompa loompas singing in my head.

She was not happy with anything! She whined about the breakfast. She whined about the gifts. She just whined. It seemed I spent the whole morning reprimanding her, correcting her, giving her dirty looks, and looking around to compare her behavior with the others... hoping all the while no one was looking.

Now I am stuck here contemplating where I might have gone wrong. And then trying to find a way to help her understand what I'm saying... A visual aid of some kind.

If anyone out there has any suggestions on how to teach an 11 year old gratitude, I'm open to hearing them.

Well, I have errands to run yet again... So I guess I'll see all of you later!

Welcome to my life!!!

Hi everybody!
I'm undecided on whether I should tell you about me first, or tell you how I came to write this blog. I guess I'll start with me.
I'm 28 years old. I am a single mom. I have an 11 year old daughter who we'll call Princess One. She lives with me. I also have a 4 year old daughter, a.k.a Princess Two. She lives with her dad. I live in sunny (haha) Florida. I laugh because, for those of you who don't know... it's not always so sunny here. In fact, it's been raining off and on for 3 days now.
I am a 3 time divorcee, already. Not a fact I am proud of, but not one I will ever run and hide from either. In my defense, I did start young. I married at the age of 15. (Don't judge)
I met my first husband when I was 14. I got pregnant, we got married.

For those of you doing the math, you're right. It doesn't add up. Yes, my oldest daughter is 11. I had her when I was 17. At 15, I had my one and only son. He passed away at nineteen days old. I won't get into the gory details I just want you all to have a better idea of me and where I come from.

I then divorced and waited 6 years before I married again. My second husband, who we'll call Mr. X is the father of my youngest daughter. He was a good man, at least I thought so until recently. We just couldn't make it work. We were together all of 2 and a half years.

My third husband was a giant mistake. I married him and divorced him in less than a year. We'll just call him Three. Period. I'm sure I'll mention him again later, but for the moment his presence is insignificant.

I'm not sure how deep I should get with this introduction. I don't think you signed on to hear my life story. Or did you? Isn't that one thing people love so much about blogging?
I've always been an avid reader and people watcher, so blogging is actually the best of both worlds for me. I get to read all about the people I would normally sit on a park bench and watch, AND I get to know more than I could ever imagine.

The truth is that I am starting this blog with the intent of keeping it going as a chronicle of the going's on of my life. But, if you know me, you know that I have a hard time staying with one project. I have made several attempts at this blogging thing already, and they all failed. Never surviving past the first entry.
This blog, however, will be different. I can't promise I will post every day. But I promise to continue posting.

Well, now that you know a little bit about me, I can say goodnight.
It's 12:30 am and I have to get up early to take Princess One to a breakfast with Santa in the wee hours of the morning. You'd think Santa would know that we parents prefer to sleep in on a Saturday. Guess not.
I'll let you know how it goes.

See you soon!
